Spell for Hecate’s Wisdom
You Will Need:
Hecate Oil
White Candle
Bowl
Honey or Wine
Present an offering to Hecate, preferably honey or wine, when you find yourself at a crossroads or when you seek her wisdom. Put a little of the honey or wine in a bowl and set it aside. Anoint your white candle with the Hecate Oil, starting in the middle of the candle and pulling the oil up towards the wick. Bring the candle next to your offering. You may also choose to print out a picture of Hecate and incorporate it into your ritual. Light the candle and contemplate your question or desire, then repeat the following:
“All powerful Hecate,
goddess of victory
Bestower of good fortune
and infinite wealth
Hear my prayer, that I send
through this sweet smelling smoke
Wise Watcher of the crossroads
and the forking alleyways
Of sailors, and travellers
and all journeying folk Hear me now as I too
Humbly make my approach.”
Raise the bowl of honey or wine and say:
“Accept this offering of fresh clear honey(wine)
As sweet and as pure
as your fine beauty Bestow divine light
Bring me clarity
Hear my prayer now
As I choose which road.”
When the candle has burned out, be sure to leave the remains at a crossroads to seal the ritual. Be patient and wait for Hecate’s guidance. She will reveal the way to you at the right time.
