Building a relationship with Spirit is one of the most important aspects of your life — not just for your manifestations, but for the health and vitality of your soul. The quality of your life, your peace, your blessings, and even your protection all flow from the strength of your relationship with the Divine.
Just as you take time to feed and nourish your closest relationships — with your family, your friends, your partners — you must also take time to nourish your relationship with Spirit.
My mother used to tell me something that I never forgot:
“God forbid you pass from this world and find yourself banging on Jesus’ door saying, ‘Jesus, Jesus! It’s me!’ — and He opens the door and says, ‘I don’t know you,’ and closes it.”
That story used to shake me to my core — not because it was scary, but because it was true. The message behind it is simple:
You can’t call on a spirit you never took the time to know.
You can’t ask for blessings from an energy you never invited in.
Whether it’s Jesus, an ascended master, an ancestor, a saint, or a deity — the principle is the same: you must build relationship.
🌿How to Build a Foundation with Spirit
The first step is getting to know who you’re working with.
Research their story. Learn their history. Look at how they’ve helped others. When you know their nature, you understand how they move and how to properly approach them.
Next, begin with offerings.
Offerings are not payment — they’re gestures of gratitude, respect, and connection. They show that you’re willing to give energy before you ask to receive it.
It can be as simple as leaving a cup of coffee, a glass of water, or a small candle. Think of it like hosting a guest in your home — you’d offer them something to drink, right?
And just as you wouldn’t serve a guest cold coffee, you don’t leave offerings sitting for days. After about twenty minutes, the essence of an offering has been received — the spirit has taken what it needed. At that point, you can discard it respectfully, just as you’d take away an empty cup once your guest was done drinking.
This practice of giving and refreshing offerings builds a living connection — a steady flow between your world and theirs.
✨When the Relationship Deepens
Once you start building a relationship with Spirit, something changes.
You begin to notice signs — synchronicities, dreams, chills, whispers of intuition. You start to realize that it’s not youalone who brings forth blessings or drives away darkness — it’s the power that flows through you, because of the relationship you’ve built.
It’s not I who can bestow your blessings or cast out your demons — it’s the structure and the foundation you’ve built with Spirit that makes those things possible.
And that is the true key:
Relationship is the foundation of power.
💫Closing Thoughts
Spirit is not a vending machine that we go to when we want something.
It’s a friendship, a companionship, a partnership between worlds.
When you take the time to build that connection, to learn, to give, to listen — everything else begins to align naturally.
Because when Spirit knows your voice, your prayers don’t echo — they resonate.
