Saint Lazarus is an underlooked folk saint—and one of my favorites to work with.
 
He holds a powerful and complex place in both Catholic folk traditions and Afro-Caribbean magical systems, where he’s known as a healer, protector, and miracle worker for the suffering and forgotten.
 
But don’t let his humility fool you—he can bring life into a dying relationship. He can resurrect a failing business. He can pull love, luck, and health back from the edge of death.

Saint Lazarus Candle & Petition Service — May 14th
Healer of the afflicted. Guardian of the suffering. Patron of the impossible.
 
Saint Lazarus, the beloved protector of the poor, sick, and forgotten, is often portrayed as an elderly man on crutches, accompanied by loyal dogs who tenderly lick his wounds—symbols of unlikely healing, loyalty, and divine compassion. His powerful presence brings strength to those enduring illness, hardship, or spiritual affliction.
 
On May 14th, we will light a candle in honor of Saint Lazarus and offer your personal petition at his feet. This service is for those seeking healing, protection, guidance through difficult times, or deliverance from struggle. Each candle will be ritually dressed, prayed over, and blessed with your specific request, calling upon Saint Lazarus to intercede on your behalf.
