King Solomon Seal 22. Protects From Any Danger When on the Road. The Third Pentacle of the Moon.
 
This is a reproduction of a talisman design found in the "Key of Solomon", a grimoire of ceremonial magic attributed to King Solomon. Containing influences of Hermetic alchemy, Roman Astrology and Kabbalah, Solomon's magic is a cornerstone of the Western Esoteric occult tradition. The grimoire explains: "This being duly borne with thee when upon a journey, if it be properly made, serveth against all attacks by night, and against every kind of danger and peril by Water." Samuel Liddell MacGregor Mathers, a ceremonial magician and editor of the most common edition of the book, further describes: "The Names Aub and Vevaphel. The versicle is from Psalm xl. 13:– "Be pleased O IHVH to deliver me, O IHVH make haste to help me."

The two angels that are named upon this seal, Aub and Vevafel are fierce guardians that also help to banish spirits that invoke night terrors and nightmares, as well as dark and hostile spirits who taunt through twisted dark visions and voices during prayers and meditation. They also have special knowledge of spiritual works corresponding with the new moon, specifically spiritual works dispelling the power of those who engage in works of destruction and evil.
 
Psalm 40:13 is written on this seal and it holds the power of this seal. "Be pleased O IHVH to deliver me, O IHVH make haste to help me."
