Lakshmi is one of my favorite deities, and this beeswax candle perfectly captures her essence. She’s the goddess of wealth, abundance, and love. She personifies beauty and adorns herself in rich jewel tones of crimson, fuchsia, and gold as a symbol of her prosperity. Her graceful essence is a reminder that beauty is everywhere as long as we open our eyes to it.
Lakshmi is held in high regard in the Hindu tradition, where she represents beauty, good luck, and fortune. She’s a divine mother goddess and is addressed as Mata (mother) rather than just Devi (goddess), as many other Hindu deities are. Her four arms represent the four pillars of human existence in the Hindu tradition – dharma, kama, artha, and moksha. Dharma has many meanings and interpretations but can best be said to embody cosmic law or virtuous living. Kama symbolizes sexual desire, passion, love, pleasure, and affection. Artha translates literally to “purpose” or “meaning.” Moksha stands for liberation and can symbolize death and rebirth or self-actualization.
You will receive one candle about 4 inches tall and my Lakshmi oil.
