St. Philomena Ritual Candle- Desperate Situations, Problems, Money, Family

St. Philomena was a Greek princess who was martyred at a young age. Born into a traditional Christian family in the 3rd century, St. Philomena found herself the desire of Emperor Diocletian, who was going to war with St. Philomena’s father. When the virgin St. Philomena, believed to be roughly 13 at the time, refused, she was subject to cruel torments like scourging, drowning, and shooting. However, in each attempt on her life, St. Philomena was protected by a team of angels who rescued her. Eventually,  she was decapitated by Emperor Diocletian. Years later Her tomb was discovered in a catacomb in the 19th century. Images on the funerary tiles on her tomb were an anchor, a palm, a javelin, arrows, and a lily.

Saint Philomena is considered a little sister of Erzulie Freda in hoodoo traditions. She is called upon to help market sellers, better business, increased sales, online business, higher pay, employment, and success in all financial areas. Removes negativity and evil from the surroundings, and grants them the ability to have prophetic dreams.

Set sweet cakes, candies, sweet drinks, colas, toys, red and white braided ropes, pink flowers, lilies, perfumes, or make-up.

Set an image out for her, light her a candle, and give her offerings. Recite a prayer and your petition to her.

A Prayer to use for St. Philomena follows, or you may choose another of your own liking.

St. Philomena, virgin and martyr, whose purity and devotion of everything innocent and good, grant to me the pardon of my sins, wash me pure. O God, I thank Thee for the graces, Thou didst bestow upon the Blessed Virgin Mary, and upon Thy handmaid Philomena, through whose intercession we implore Thy Mercy.

Amen.

Since your spiritual vibration led you to our Shop, you may already intuitively know that magick is never a quick or one-time fix. It depends wholly on your openness to it and the effort you make. Just like a doctor cannot give you a "magic" pill to fix all of your problems, Hoodoo and Rootwork (and other spiritual ways of life) are based on a lifestyle of maintenance.  I cannot guarantee, or even presume, that your participation in one ritual service will bring about the results that you desire. In fact, I recommend on-going prayers, offerings, and traditional methods of recognizing higher energy (Spirits, deities, ancestors, prophets, angels, etc.) to petition them for what you need, gain their favor, and show honor and respect, to maximize manifestation. You attract what you put out, so taking care of yourself spiritually and physically, and being open to positive vibrations, is also imperative to channeling the energy flow needed to achieve your goals. As a spiritual practitioner, I value helping you improve your life and open your heart and soul to blessings. I am honored to work with you and provide guidance and clarity on your journey.
